OHA is a co-educational boarding academy operated by lay Seventh-day Adventists. Established in 1988, our small school offers a unique combination of strong traditional academics, vocational training, and witnessing and outreach opportunities.
At OHA we make spiritual growth our primary goal. Because of this, our program is geared to cultivate a love for the Word of God, to strive for academics oriented in God's principles, and to enhance character development.
In addition to the spirital aspect of our classes, we have a rigorous academic course with optional courses in the higher mathematics, sciences, and foreign languages. OHA graduates are readily accepted by state and denominational colleges.
The objective of Ouachita Hills Academy is to provide:
-
A nurturing, spiritual environment which encourages students to dedicate their lives to Jesus.
-
A thorough education which will prepare the students for college.
-
Service opportunities in our local community as well as abroad.
-
Training and participation in a planned, healthful lifestyle.
-
Enjoyable, noncompetetive recreation.
-
Wholesome friendship.
-
A framework for developing personal values based on Inspired Counsel
